TRAFFIC Down Under Updates

On behalf of and T.R.A.F.F.I.C. we would like to send a big thank you to all the sponsors, speakers and attendees for making TRAFFIC Down Under such a successful and memorable conference. Without your commitment and enthusiasm it would not have been the sensation it was, with many of those attending saying it was by far the best domain conference they have ever attended.

For those who haven't seen already, we have uploaded a number of photos to our Flickraccount. Our professional photographer was there to capture the whole event, including all the pre and post activities, sessions, auction and social events.

By all accounts the auctions run by and were a great success with total sales of US$682,717 for the live auctions. For a full list of domain sales please visit the following links:

But don't take our word for it, read what others had to say about the domain conference of the year! Below are some reviews from industry leaders Ron Jackson and Michael Gilmour.

Ron Jackson's DNJournal article, Michael Gilmours's WhizzBang's blog reviews, part 1, part 2 and part 3.

Also a special mention to all the industry blogs, news sites and forums that helped support and promote the conference, without your help this conference may not have received the turnout it did.

TRAFFIC Down Under Updates

TRAFFIC Down Under will hold a charity auction of ten premium domain names with the revenue to be donated to the Internet Commerce Association (ICA), a non-profit advocate for the domain name industry.

The auction will benefit the ICA, a grass roots organization formed to ensure domain services and owners are robustly represented in areas of great risk and importance to the global domain community.

The ICA utilizes dues and contributions to enable activities related to legislative lobbying, regulatory representation, industry public relations, legal test case support, industry publication of statistics and reports, revenue research, and market intelligence. In order for the association to continue and expand its activities, it requires the support and participation from current members and the entire professional domain name community.

We are happy to announce that the top ten domains to be auctioned off are:

These domains are to be auctioned without reserves at the conference Gala Dinner on the 19th November. Rick Latona Auctions has also committed to donate their expertise and time to manage the charity auction.
